A night of laughs for a serious cause

Eaves is a leading charity that researches and campaigns against the horrors to which some women are subjected. They also provide women with high-quality housing and support. In particular, their POPPY project helps those who have been trafficked into prostitution.

We’ve been heavily involved in the project already, creating a London-wide campaign raising the profile of this largely-unknown social problem. However, they have now asked us to develop the marketing materials for a charity comedy night.

We developed a range of logos, writing styles and visual identities, each with a different level of seriousness. The central point of the winning idea was a little character – a comedy monster – which found its way onto a wide mix of media, including flyers, booking forms, a printed programme, table materials and more.

Sponsored by Christie’s auction house and People Media, the event was held at Café de Paris in London and was a great success. Every ticket was sold and initial calculations suggest the night raised £10,000 for this worthwhile charity.
